Brent Shannon and Ethan West discovered two gold blocks near the gold mining town of tarnagulla, Victoria, Australia.
Their lucky discovery was broadcast on the TV show Aussie Gold Hunters on August 20. They used a metal tractor to find gold in the area.
This is definitely one of the most wonderful discoveries when we dug two large pieces of gold in the same day, CNN quoted Ethan West as saying.
According to Discovery channel, they found 2 3.5 kg gold bars with the help of their father West.
In a report from Australia's Sunrise TV, Shannon shared that the two gold blocks were found in a primitive land, meaning they had not been exploited yet.
Discovery channel also said that collectors could pay as much as 30% more than estimated for the gold.
Mr. West shared that during his 4 years in the profession, he has found " Thousands" of gold bars.
In 2019, an Australian man discovered a 1.4 kg bulb of gold using a metal detector, worth an estimated $69,000.
Gold mining in Austrlia began in the 1880s and is still an important industry in the country. The town of tarnagulla was established during the Australian Gold Cup and became prosperous when people moved here to mine gold.
