This year's tournament brings together 8 top teams from different continents. The teams are divided into 2 groups.
Group A includes Tianjin (host China), Minas Tenis Clube (Brazil - 2024 South American champion), Vero Volley Milano (Italy - 2024 European runner-up), Zamalek SC (Egypt - 2024 African champion)
Group B includes LPB Ninh Binh (Vietnam - Asian runner-up), Imoco Volley (Italy - 2024 European champion), NEC Red Rockets (Japan - 2024 Asian champion), Dentil Praia Clube (Brazil - 2024 South American runner-up).
The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals to determine the champion. Unlike other tournaments, the Asian Volleyball Club Championship only has a third-place match, while the third and fourth-place teams in each group will be eliminated immediately, without competing for lower rankings.
LPB Ninh Binh is the sole representative of Vietnamese volleyball to participate in this year's tournament thanks to its achievement of reaching the final of the 2024 Asian Club Championship. This is the second consecutive year that Vietnam has had a team participating in the world-class event. Previously, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team participated in the 2023 season under the name Sport Center 1.
The tournament will take place from December 17 to December 22.
