According to the audience statistics at the ASEAN Cup 2026 group stage, the Vietnamese team leads with a total of 51,197 visitors through two matches at My Dinh Stadium.
The match between Vietnam and Singapore on July 31 attracted 31,569 spectators. In the last group stage match against Cambodia on August 7, there were 19,628 people coming to the stadium to watch. On average, each home match of the Vietnamese team has nearly 25,600 spectators.
Indonesia ranked second with 49,750 spectators in two home matches, only 1.447 people behind Vietnam. Notably, the Indonesia vs. Vietnam match at Pakansari Stadium attracted 27,265 spectators, higher than the number of people coming to the stadium in the Vietnam vs. Cambodia match.
Cambodia ranked third with 34,338 spectators. In which, the match against Singapore at Morodok Techo stadium had 27,790 viewers, while the confrontation with Timor-Leste only recorded 6,548 spectators.
Thailand ranked fourth with 29,063 spectators. The Golden Temple team welcomed 16,037 people in the match against Malaysia and 13,026 people in the match against Myanmar.
Malaysia ranked fifth with 22,778 spectators through two home matches. The remaining teams had significantly lower number of visitors to the stadium. Myanmar recorded 10,500 spectators in the match against Malaysia but no data for the match against Laos. Singapore had 9,778 people, Laos 8,866 people and the Philippines 5,890 people.
Timor-Leste is a special case when only 384 spectators through two matches are considered home stadiums. Because the national stadium in Dili does not meet the organization requirements, this team had to choose Chonburi Stadium of Thailand as a neutral home stadium.
The fact that the Vietnamese team is leading in the number of spectators in the group stage shows the attraction of the team to domestic fans. In particular, interest continues to be shown when tickets for the second leg semi-final match between Vietnam and Malaysia at My Dinh Stadium are quickly sold out after online sales.
The first leg semi-final between Malaysia and Vietnam takes place on August 16th at Kuala Lumpur Stadium. Three days later, the two teams will rematch at My Dinh Stadium.
In the second leg, tickets are divided into 4 denominations, from 300,000 to 1 million VND. My Dinh Stadium has a capacity of more than 40,000 spectators, while the demand to watch the Vietnamese team is forecast to continue to be high.
The Vietnamese team is aiming for the goal of winning a ticket to the ASEAN Cup 2026 final. After closing the group stage with positive results, coach Kim Sang-sik's team will have an additional home advantage in the second leg semi-final.
