This afternoon (January 15), in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of departments and units.
Chairing the conference, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu emphasized that according to the Politburo's decision, the organizational structure of the Central Inspection Commission includes 12 units, including 9 local departments, reducing 2 departments and 7 room-level units.
To ensure that the activities of the Central Inspection Commission and the Central Inspection Commission “are not interrupted, must be continuous, and be a flow”, Mr. Tran Cam Tu requested that the responsible members, departments, and units focus on performing their work immediately. In particular, immediately review the work being done to continue to perform it promptly or hand over the work that must be handed over immediately. Do not let the work be interrupted, missed, or slowed down.
According to the Politburo's decision, the Central Inspection Commission is an advisory body, assisting the Central Inspection Commission in performing its tasks and powers in inspection, supervision and disciplinary enforcement within the Party according to the provisions of the Party Charter and performing the tasks assigned by the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat; at the same time, it is a specialized and professional agency in inspection, supervision and disciplinary enforcement within the Party of the Central Committee.
The Central Inspection Commission has the task of advising and assisting the Central Inspection Commission in performing the following tasks: Preparing inspection and supervision programs and plans, reports, projects, inspection, supervision and party discipline cases for the Central Inspection Commission to consider and decide according to its authority; inspecting, supervising and controlling assets and income of cadres under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
The organization performs the functions, tasks and powers of the Central Inspection Commission as stipulated in the Party Charter, the Working Regulations of the 13th Central Inspection Commission and the tasks assigned by the Party Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat; organizes the implementation of the annual work programs and plans decided by the Central Inspection Commission.
Preside over and coordinate with the Central Party Office and Central Party Committees to advise, develop programs, plans and organize the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks of lower-level Party organizations and Party members in implementing the Political Platform, Party Charter, resolutions, directives, regulations, conclusions and decisions of the Party (according to the provisions of Article 30 of the Party Charter)...
The Central Inspection Commission has the right to: Propose to the Central Inspection Commission and the Politburo to establish new, dissolve, and merge departments and units under the Central Inspection Commission; decide to establish departments under units of the Central Inspection Commission; decide on the personnel work of the Central Inspection Commission according to the management hierarchy; inspect and supervise the activities of the Central Inspection Commission's staff when necessary...

The staffing of the Central Inspection Commission is decided by the Politburo based on proposals from the Central Inspection Commission and the Central Organizing Committee.
