Da Nang is merging 6 special project management boards, leaving 3 management boards. Da Nang Vocational College and College of Culture and Arts are expected to merge into Da Nang College; Da Nang Publishing House is dissolving due to ineffective operations in the past.
Da Nang also agreed to retain the Department of Tourism because tourism and service activities in the city contribute more than 62% and this is also a sector with its own unique characteristics.
Orientation to merge Da Nang Newspaper, Da Nang Radio and Television Station, and the City's Electronic Information Portal into a common unit and complete the merger in the first quarter of 2025.
The City Party Executive Committee requested Da Nang Newspaper to urgently develop technical and economic standards based on the current ordering mechanism of the City Radio and Television Station. On that basis, the Editor-in-Chief of Da Nang Newspaper and the Director of the City Radio and Television Station will focus on developing a streamlined plan, organizing the internal apparatus and having a specific project on building and developing facilities and equipment to meet the need to improve communication efficiency in the coming years in the direction of a converging newsroom and strong digital development with multimedia platforms.
