Letting a domestic helper take leave without notifying the Commune People's Committee, fined up to 3 million VND

Clause 2, Article 28, Decree 283/2026/ND-CP stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the fields of labor, social insurance, and Vietnamese workers going to work abroad under contracts (effective from September 10, 2026) stipulates as follows:

2. A fine of between 1 million VND and 3 million VND shall be imposed on employers for one of the following acts:

a) Failure to notify the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones of the use of labor or termination of the use of labor as domestic helpers as prescribed;

b) Having been sanctioned with a warning for violations specified in Clause 1 of this Article but continuing to violate.

Thus, from September 10, 2026, homeowners who let domestic helpers quit their jobs without notifying the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones of the rental may be fined up to 3 million VND.
