Currently, Chau Anh works at the Faculty of Music, Military University of Culture and Arts and majored in Piano at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Lao Dong reporter had a conversation with Chau Anh to look back at the special milestone in the career of the beauty born in 2003.
Tran Ngoc Chau Anh has been an expected and beloved contestant since she first participated in the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest. When coming to this playground, what are your expectations for yourself?
- This is the first time I have participated in a beauty contest, the first time I have walked on the catwalk, the first time I have walked high heels. My first wish is to overcome my weaknesses and improve myself, learn a new field, and have more opportunities to develop.
Coming to a competition, everyone will set the goal of the highest titles. For me, achieving the 1st runner-up position is an extremely valuable thing.
Born and raised in a military family, what orientations have you given about your career and life?
- I am lucky to be born into a family with a rich tradition. Since I was a child, my parents have always trained and reminded me. Although I have not yet entered the military environment, I have lived a disciplined, punctual, disciplined, and polite life thanks to the training of my parents. My father taught me to exercise every morning early, wake up early, live a disciplined life, be proactive and live kindly to everyone. During meals and housework, my parents often tell me about my father's military service and the battles. Therefore, I always hope to be able to continue the family tradition.
When I was drafted into the army, I realized more that what my parents taught me since I was a child was the right thing to do.
Coming to a beauty contest, is the rank of Major a factor that helps you stand out from the other contestants?
- I think it is a blessing that I can spread the image of the soldier to the public. I also think the rank of Major is something special to me and feel extremely proud.
Runner-up Chau Anh is studying Piano at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. How do you orient your future work?
- Currently, I am an assistant lecturer at the Department of Music at the Military University of Culture and Arts. When I complete my higher education program, I hope to become a Piano lecturer at the school. With my father working at school, I also feel pressured. When I was in school, my father was very close.
The beauties who compete in beauty pageants often aim to join showbiz and work in the entertainment industry. Does the family support Runner-up Chau Anh in following this path?
- When I went to the beauty pageant, my parents did not object but were still hesitant. I think if I had stayed in the comfort zone forever, I would have positioned myself there. If I hadn't tried it, I wouldn't know how I could have shone. When I became 1st Runner-up, I received more attention and interest from the audience.
What I hope for when I win the runner-up title is not to work in showbiz, but to have the opportunity to carry out charity projects and spread positive values to the community.
Celebrity will change a person's life. Is Chau Anh ready to face what will come to her after winning the title?
- Becoming famous will change my life a lot. Previously, my days were spent on the sports field, attached to the apartment keyboard. Now, I face the lights, the big stages. My schedule has also changed and become more dense.
This year, when the country welcomed big holidays, the image of soldiers on duty for the country moved many people. When you look at those moments, what do you feel?
- I feel touched and proud of my teammates. I am also bringing the image of a female soldier of the Vietnam People's Army to young people. From there, I want to show that Mr. Ho's soldiers are not only disciplined and strong female soldiers but also gentle, beautiful and filled with compassion.
