Accordingly, flight number ZF2577 of Azu Air LLC departed from Irkutsk International Airport, Russia at 8:15 (local time) on March 17 and landed at Cam Ranh International Airport at 11:25 on the same day.
The first Charter flight bringing 231 Russian tourists to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa was welcomed with a water spraying ceremony to create a welcome gate.
Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of relevant units were present at the airport to present wreaths to welcome the first Russian tourists.
The organizers also gave special souvenirs to the first passengers to land at the landing gate, performed lion dance... creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere for visitors from the flight.
According to Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited - the official unit to resume charter routes connecting 11 Russian cities to Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa.
It is expected that there will be 12 trips/month in March, from April to June 2025, there will be 50 - 55 trips/month and about 90 - 100 trips/month in July 2025. Flights will be from Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Kabarovsk, Vladivostok, Barnaul, Krasnojarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, Blagoveschensk
Russian tourists to Nha Trang Khanh Hoa will stay for 5 nights or more and focus on the 3-5 star hotel segment. All will follow a package tour program with famous tourist attractions in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa, in the first 3 months of 2025, the total number of visitors served by tourist accommodation establishments is estimated at more than 2.5 million, an increase of 19.69% over the same period in 2024.
Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach more than 1.3 million, an increase of 12.54% over the same period; domestic visitors are estimated to reach more than 1.2 million, an increase of 28.93% over the same period. Russian visitors alone reached 24,000 at the beginning of the year, an increase of 73.15% over the same period in 2024.
