Booking volume is gradually increasing
According to Lao Dong on the morning of August 20, many coastal hotels in Da Nang have been booked by tourists for a whole month for the upcoming September 2 holiday.
Ms. Nguyen Hoai Anh - manager of a hotel on Vo Nguyen Giap Street - said that about 20% of guests have booked rooms in advance during the National Day holiday on September 2.
According to Ms. Hoai Anh, to prepare for the holiday, the hotel is also hiring a unit to repair and upgrade some facilities to better serve tourist groups.
"Many tourists have the mentality of wanting to book rooms early to choose beautiful sea views and locations. There are groups of guests who book rooms close to the holiday, so the hotel unit has also prepared them mentally to be ready 24/7, reviewing all services, facilities, and recruiting additional receptionists to serve" - Ms. Hoai Anh said.
Not only booking rooms directly, hotel managers on An Thuong tourist street said that the number of customers booking rooms online in advance for the September 2 holiday is also increasing, with the occupancy rate fluctuating around 20-30%.
A series of attractive tourism stimulus programs
According to the accumulation of the first 7 months of 2025, Da Nang City welcomed more than 10.7 million overnight guests, an increase of 18% over the same period in 2024, with revenue reaching VND 33,800 billion, an increase of 23%.
In particular, the number of international visitors reached more than 4.2 million (up 21%), while domestic visitors were nearly 6.5 million (up 17.1%). Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in the first 7 months of 2025 is estimated at VND33,800 billion, an increase of more than 23% over the same period in 2024.
Recently, on August 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City announced a stimulus program to attract tourists to the city in the last months of 2025 with the theme New Da Nang - New Experience - New Da Nang - New Experience.
Accordingly, the stimulus program to attract tourists to Da Nang city in the last months of 2025 includes 5 special programs and 2 completely new solutions.
5 especially stimulating programs include Enjoy Da Nang - Many new experiences; enjoy Danang - Diverse Experiences; 3 Experience Passports; Event and Festival Tour; I love Da Nang - I love Da Nang and Special policies for MICE tourists and wedding tourism in 2025.
These programs are applied from August 15, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
Da Nang City has proposed 2 completely new solutions including Online payment solution for international tourists; Online experience of 3 Da Nang Passports including integrated application with experience of 3 Online Passports: Da Nang Food Tour Culinary Passport, Da Nang Heritage Tour Heritage Passport, Da Nang Green Tour Green passport.
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, Truong Thi Hong Hanh, said that the Program was implemented to contribute to achieving the goal of the tourism industry in 2025 of welcoming and serving more than 17.3 million visitors, an increase of 15% compared to the previous year.
Of which, international visitors reached 7.6 million (up 25%), domestic visitors reached 9.7 million (up 8%), with revenue of more than VND 29.9 trillion (up 26%), these are challenging but also full of expectations.
