It is estimated that accumulated for 08 days (from February 12 - 19 (ie from December 25 to the 3rd day of Tet), Hanoi Capital welcomed about 900,900 visitors, an increase of 11.7% compared to the same period in 2025. Of which, it is estimated to welcome 178,500 international tourists, an increase of 48.2% compared to the same period in 2025; about 722,500 domestic tourists, an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period in 2025. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 3.436 billion, an increase of 19.5% compared to the same period in 2025.
In Quang Ninh, where there are famous destinations such as Ha Long Bay, the tourism industry also recorded a high increase in the number of visitors during Tet. In the first 5 days of the holiday, the total number of visitors reached about 380,000, an increase of nearly 9% compared to the same period last year, and the total revenue from tourism services is estimated to exceed 1,000 billion VND.

Meanwhile, in the northern mountainous provinces, especially Lao Cai, it is an attractive destination for tourists right from the first days of the new year. As of the 3rd day of Tet (February 19), Lao Cai province is estimated to welcome 250,000 visitors, of which Sa Pa ward accounts for about 71,600,000 visitors, actively contributing to the tourism picture of this area.
According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the 2026 Lunar New Year, some other localities such as Lao Cai ward, Mu Cang Chai commune, Dong Cuong commune, and Tu Le commune also attracted a large number of tourists to visit and travel.
Room occupancy rate across the province reached about 70-80%, Sa Pa ward alone reached nearly 90-95%, Mu Cang Chai commune reached 80-85%, Tu Le commune reached 80-85%.
In Da Nang, traffic data also reflects the resurgence of the tourism industry during Tet. According to statistics from airports, the total number of flights to Da Nang during the holiday increased by more than 36% compared to the same period last year, with about 1,500 flights serving both domestic and international tourists. This is a premise for the strong recovery of the international tourist market in this coastal city.
According to the Vung Tau Ward Public Service Supply Center (HCMC), the locality welcomed about 33,000 tourists to play and experience at the beaches in the area on the 2nd day of Tet. From February 14th to February 18th, Vung Tau welcomed more than 46,000 tourists to play and relax. Many art programs celebrating Binh Ngo Spring 2026; the 1st expanded Vung Tau Ward Lion - Dragon Festival held in the locality attracted a large number of people and tourists to participate and respond.

According to the An Giang Provincial Department of Tourism, Phu Quoc special zone alone on February 19th (the 3rd day of Tet) is estimated to welcome more than 47,000 visitors (up 33.7% compared to the same period). Accumulated from February 14th to February 19th (December 27th to the 3rd day of Tet), Phu Quoc is estimated to welcome more than 216,000 visitors for sightseeing and tourism (up 24.9% compared to the same period), including more than 63,000 international visitors (up 26.6% compared to the same period).
In 2026, Vietnam's tourism industry sets a target of welcoming 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic visitors. With strong growth momentum right from the early days of Binh Ngo Spring, Vietnamese tourism is having a positive foundation to realize the growth target for the whole year, accelerating in the upcoming peak season.
