On September 13, the action movie "I, the Executioner" starring Jung Hae In and Hwang Jung Min will officially hit theaters.
This is the sequel to the 2015 film “Veteran” - a hit at the Korean box office with 13.41 million views.
As the new face of the film, Jung Hae In was put on the scale of comparison when replacing Yoo Ah In (as Jo Tae Oh) in the main role.
Talking about this, the actor said: “The plot of the villain in this film is different from the previous part, so I don’t have any pressure related to the character. However, because the previous part was loved by many people, that is something that makes me a bit worried.”
However, for Jung Hae In , this pressure is quite useful, and it is also part of what he needs to do as an actor. Along with focusing on acting, he pays special attention to eye expressions.
“At first, my perspective was very important. As a team member who was introduced midway, I tried to grasp the characteristics of my teammates.
From the latter part of the film, I had to act while wearing a mask and hat, which limited my facial expressions. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to express myself in such limited spaces.”
Previously, director Ryu Seung Wan also praised the actor's dedication and integration, especially in the action scenes. Jung Hae In's efforts were rated 9.99/10 points by the director for his acting.
“I Can’t Cuff You” is an action investigation film in which the youngest police officer - Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In), joins veteran police officer Seo Do Chul (Hwang Jung Min) to chase a serial killer who has shocked the whole country.
According to the distributor, the film has now surpassed 100,000 pre-ordered tickets in Korea.
