Korean tourists are excited about the experience of eating vermicelli with tofu and shrimp paste at a popular roadside restaurant and the sidewalk iced tea culture in Hanoi.

Last May, Korean blogger Mimi Choco visited Hanoi, Vietnam. In addition to dishes that are famous to Koreans such as beef pho and bun cha, Mimi Choco tried out vermicelli with tofu and shrimp paste based on the experience of famous chef Baek Jong-won in the show Street Food Fighter Hanoi.

"Vietnamese people often do business on the streets. Tables and chairs are arranged on the sidewalk. The alley turns into their kitchen. And the shop owner is only busy making vermicelli with tofu and shrimp paste," Mimi Choco was surprised.

"Trying the shrimp paste, I found it salty and sweet. I have a weak stomach but I can still eat it. The difficulty level is probably only average, not as people say. The shrimp paste has lemon and sugar added, stir until bubbling. foam is fine".

"There are many things to eat with shrimp paste, but be careful with vegetables because they have a strong smell. Thin vermicelli, pork leg meat, fried beans, internal organs, tripe and fried spring rolls on the plate, there are many options," female blogger shares.

Mimi Choco and her friend ordered two more cups of iced tea. Two meals and drinks cost 220,000 VND (12,000 won).

"Iced tea seems to be Vietnam's national drink. It's very cool, refreshing and delicious. Anyway, the price is a bit expensive compared to local restaurants. But I'm satisfied because it's delicious. I like it." I intend to try again next time I come to Hanoi," she said.

Blogger Kim Hanryang also tried tofu noodles with shrimp paste at the above address, following the instructions of famous chef Baek Jong-won.

"I really like shrimp paste, it's very delicious. Every time I eat it deliciously, someone says I'm Vietnamese. For those who like rich salty taste, shrimp paste will be the perfect choice.

Pig intestines in Vietnam are also great, no smell at all. The same goes for the stomach. I crave it so much that I eat the intestines first. Hanoi food is diverse, so it would be a pity if everyone only ate pho," Hanryang wrote.
