Although Thailand's digital card registration portal is already open, Thailand will officially require international visitors to use this system from May 1.
Regardless of whether visitors enter by air, road or sea, they must register online up to three days in advance, providing personal information and travel, including passport and accommodation address.

The online form is divided into many steps, including: personal information, details of the trip and accommodation, medical declaration and final confirmation.
After visitors submit their registration, their digital entry will be sent via email. Visitors can print it out or save it on their smartphone to present when entering the country.
The new model replaces the previous paper version, which was canceled last year, and is now called the Thailand Digital scanning Area (TDAC) Import Card.
This is part of Thailand's major strategy to become a "Smart Tourism Destination" and bring a more convenient experience to international tourists.
This move also aims to improve monitoring of immigration activities and enhance safety for tourists.
To promote the application of this system, the Thai Immigration Department has deployed multilingual promotional materials, including video instructions and materials in English, Chinese, Korean, Russian and Japanese.
The implementation of digital entry cards will also delay the plan to collect a 300 baht tourism tax (about 225,000 VND) reported by Thai media.
In addition, Thailand has also postponed the implementation of the Electronic Tourism License (ETA) system, which was planned to be applied from December 1, 2024, to control tourists who are exempt from visas.
