According to regulations, in addition to revenue from MVs released on YouTube, Phan Dinh Tung - the author of "Happy Birthday Song" - also enjoys additional income from copyright for this song.
Accordingly, the male singer will receive copyright money when the song is used for broadcasting on television, radio, music production units and organizations, cafes, restaurants, hotels, media, digital platforms....
On the official website of the Vietnam Center for Protection of Music Copyright (VCPMC), Phan Dinh Tung's song is on the list of songs authorized by the male singer to VCPMC to collect music copyright fees.
However, Phan Dinh Tung once shared that his income from the song "Birthday Song" is not as much as people think.
He explained that many viewers do not play music on YouTube but download it to avoid being involved in advertising. "If that song is monitored and controlled more closely, I can live healthy without doing anything," the 7X singer said.
