According to the report of the Repatriation Team of Martyrs' remains under the Ho Chi Minh City Command, on August 12, forces continued to deploy the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at the 2nd search location (Zone B), Le Thi Rieng Park.
The task force continued to relocate land, expand the search area in Zone B; handled more than 200m3 of soil to approach areas suspected of having martyrs' remains.
Because this area has a large volume of embankment soil from the previous park renovation process, the City Command has mobilized 3 excavators, 1 dump truck and 2 3.5-ton trucks to serve excavation and soil transportation, ensuring the progress of task implementation.
As a result, during the day, the task force discovered and repatriated 25 sets of martyrs' remains in Zone B and 9 sets of artifacts attached.
Accumulated from June 23 to the end of August 12, the task force discovered and collected 293 sets of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park.
