On August 14, at the press conference in August 2026, An Giang Provincial Police had written information related to traffic violations on the Lo Te - Rach Soi route.
The Lo Te - Rach Soi route passes through the area of 3 communes Tan Hiep, Thanh Dong and Thanh Loc of An Giang province. The route is about 26km long, is a key connecting route with increasing traffic volume (due to the travel demand of people, especially the increase in inter-provincial traffic volume). Along both sides of the route are agricultural production land, some locations adjacent to people's roads, canals, and inland ditches, so there is still a situation where people drive motorbikes and motorbikes into the highway. Some households graze buffaloes and cows near the traffic safety corridor, posing a risk of accidents.
An Giang Provincial Police have directed the Traffic Police force to deploy a number of working measures: coordinate with commune-level police and local authorities to organize propaganda, request signing commitments not to graze livestock in traffic safety corridors, not to drive motorbikes into highways.
Through propaganda, the majority of people agreed and well complied with the provisions of law; many households proactively reinforced barns, managed livestock, and did not let livestock enter the highway.
From the beginning of 2026 to now, the Traffic Police force of the Provincial Police has organized 97 patrols and inspections with 194 turns of officers and soldiers participating, inspected 399 vehicles, made records of 9 cases, temporarily seized 6 vehicles, 3 driver's licenses; reminded about herding livestock within the traffic safety corridor and acts that directly pose a risk of traffic accidents.

In the coming time, the Provincial Police will continue to coordinate with local authorities to organize propaganda with households living along the route to sign commitments not to violate; not to drive motorbikes and mopeds into the route, not to arbitrarily cut and break fences, create illegal walkways and not to raise livestock to enter the traffic safety corridor... Strengthen patrols and inspections to detect violations, propagate and strictly handle cases of intentional violations in order to restore order and traffic safety on the route.
The Provincial Police also proposed that functional agencies soon open people's roads along both sides of the route to serve people's activities and production to limit the situation of motorbikes, mopeds and pedestrians entering the route. Request Road Management Office No. 4 to inspect and repair the protective fence on the route section passing through An Giang province that has deteriorated and been damaged, and some sections have been cut and destroyed, not ensuring safety.
