65 billion dong project not completed
On February 11, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper noted that a group of workers were working on the Ngan Sau River Bank Erosion Repair Project, through Village 5 and Village 2, Ha Linh Commune, Huong Khe District. Through observation, up to now, the Project still has a long section of about a few dozen meters that has not been embanked.
This is a project with a total investment of 65 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Huong Khe district. Of which, 60 billion VND comes from the central budget, 5 billion VND is counterpart capital of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district.
The project was won by the Hoang Long and Hoang Lai Joint Venture, and construction began on November 1, 2024. According to schedule, the project must be completed by January 31, 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Director of the Project Management Board of Construction Investment of Huong Khe district - informed that up to now, the project to overcome landslides on the banks of Ngan Sau river through village 5 and village 2, Ha Linh commune has completed about 97% of the construction volume, basically about to be completed.
According to Mr. Tuan, it is expected that in about 10 days the project will be 100% completed for handover.
Mr. Tuan shared that due to the long bidding procedure, it affects the progress.
However, since the construction started, the investor has continuously urged the contractor to focus on overtime and increase shifts, so the project has now been basically completed.
Construction will resume after the full moon.
Also according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the urgent project to repair the embankment to prevent landslides on the left bank downstream of Cho Vuc Bridge, Cam Due Commune (total investment capital of 10 billion VND) invested by Cam Xuyen District People's Committee has not been completed yet.
On February 11, when the reporter was present, the project was not under construction.
An official from the Cam Xuyen District Construction Investment Project Management Board said that up to now, the urgent project to repair the embankment to prevent landslides on the left bank of the downstream Cho Vuc bridge, Cam Due commune, has completed about 85% of the project. The project has also requested an extension until April 30, 2025.
An official from the Cam Xuyen District Construction Investment Project Management Board informed that after the 15th of the first lunar month, the contractor will resume construction. With the remaining volume, the project will soon be completed before the requested extension.
As Lao Dong reported, from the central budget reserve in 2023 with a total support fund of 150 billion VND, Ha Tinh approved 7 projects to overcome the consequences of natural disasters in the area.
The project with the largest capital source is the project to overcome landslides on the banks of the Ngan Sau River, through village 5 and village 2, Ha Linh commune, Huong Khe district, with a total capital of 60 billion VND.
To date, many projects with small investment capital have been completed.
Recently, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has continuously urged investors on the progress of projects, requiring them to speed up construction to promptly disburse public investment capital in 2024.
The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province also assigned: "In all cases, the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the districts: Huong Khe, Vu Quang, Duc Tho, Cam Xuyen and Hong Linh town must take full responsibility before the law, the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the progress and quality of the project and must disburse the central support capital before December 31, 2024.
