On August 6, Director of Quang Binh Electricity Company Hoang Hieu Trung said that currently 6 villages of Truong Son commune (Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province) are having difficulty accessing electricity from the national grid.
“For these 6 villages alone, initial preliminary estimates estimate the cost to be nearly 100 billion to bring national grid electricity to the people. Among them, there are villages that are very difficult to reach because the road is extremely difficult.
According to preliminary statistics, besides Truong Son commune, there are many more households in Tan Trach and Thuong Trach communes (Bo Trach district) that are still lacking electricity from the national grid" - Mr. Trung said.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh informed that on August 6, the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee will go on an actual border patrol, including going through the villages of Truong Son commune, and representatives of the unit will have propose the actual situation of people's electricity shortage to the province.
“This year, the Prime Minister approved the plan to implement the National Electricity Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 (referred to as the implementation plan of Electricity Plan VIII), Quang Binh province about 180 billion VND.
Currently, the decision dated April 1, 2024 has been signed, but has not yet been specifically allocated to localities. As soon as it is allocated, we will use the resources to prioritize villages in remote areas first" - Mr. Ha said.
Mr. Ha also informed that there are currently 6 villages in Truong Son commune, 1 village does not have an access road and must travel by waterway, so there is a high possibility of not being able to connect the power grid. Another village is planning to move out of the new area because there is no access road. The remaining 4 villages will be electrified when there is capital.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported , nearly 200 households in Truong Son commune (Quang Ninh district) did not have access to the national grid. These households only rely on solar panels and batteries, which are not enough for daily use.
Secretary of Truong Son commune Nguyen Van Nhi said that from 2021 up to now, the commune has made many submissions requesting superiors to invest in the national grid power project in 6 villages in the commune. Up to now, funding has not been allocated nor has it been surveyed to establish an investment project for national grid power projects for 6 villages of the commune.
