Of which, domestic visitors are estimated at 158,615. The average number of domestic tourists during the Lunar New Year 2025 increased by 10.1% compared to the Lunar New Year 2024. International visitors are estimated at 4,785. The average number of international tourists during the Lunar New Year 2025 increased by 24.1% compared to the Lunar New Year 2024.
Domestic visitors are mainly from the province and from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and neighboring provinces such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue City, Da Nang...
Quang Binh Department of Tourism added that a high percentage of visitors travel as families, small groups, using personal vehicles, trains, planes or private rentals.
During the 2025 Lunar New Year, Dong Hoi Airport has expanded its operating hours to 24 hours (regular operating hours from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), increasing the flight frequency from 4 round trips/day to 7-9 round trips/day (an increase of 125% compared to normal).
In addition, the Railway sector has added more auxiliary trains on routes to meet the travel needs of passengers. International visitors have increased, mainly from countries such as the UK, the Netherlands, the US, Germany, France, China, South Korea, etc. The number of passenger transport vehicles by road and private cars has also increased from both the North and the South.
The average room occupancy rate of tourist accommodation establishments in the province during the Lunar New Year 2025 is estimated to reach 50%.
