The investment project to build the Le Quang Dao route extending from Thang Long Avenue, Nam Tu Liem District to the boundary with Duong Noi urban area, Ha Dong District (Hanoi), started in early 2023, with an investment of about 740 billion VND.The project is 2.6km long, of which the site clearance part is more than 163 billion VND, with the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District as the investor.
According to the reporter's records, there are currently many items on the route being completed. At the project site, many machines, engineers and workers are regularly present to construct the project.
Considered a vital route when completed and put into use, the progress of this project always receives a lot of attention. Many people hope that the completed route will reduce traffic congestion when traveling through the two districts of Nam Tu Liem and Ha Dong.
Regularly traveling from the company in Nam Tu Liem district to her home in Ha Dong district, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham (Duong Noi ward, Ha Dong district) said: "Currently, traveling from the company near My Dinh stadium to my home in Duong Noi, Ha Dong twice a day is too hard for me. During rush hour, all roads are congested. If the extended Le Quang Dao road is completed, I think my travel and that of thousands of people who have the same journey as me will be easier. I really look forward to the day the project is completed."
As a resident of Nam Tu Liem district, Mr. Doan Van Su said that after October 10, the project was still not completed, making him and many other residents who were waiting for the new road quite disappointed.
"Many people like me are looking forward to the completion of the extended Le Quang Dao road. Initially, when we heard that the road would be opened to traffic on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital on October 10, we were very happy. However, now that important anniversary has passed but the construction site is still in disarray, with corrugated iron fences on both sides, making me quite disappointed. The opening of this road will significantly reduce the traffic load on the To Huu - Le Van Luong route, as well as the Thang Long Boulevard feeder road, which is congested every day," said Mr. Su.
A representative of the Nam Tu Liem District Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the project was expected to be completed on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, but the progress and quality of the project were greatly affected by the heavy rain, leading to the inability to complete it.The contractors committed to completing the related items and putting the project into use in December if the weather conditions are favorable.
According to the design, the extended Le Quang Dao route will have inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60km/h.The typical cross-section of the road is 40m, the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) has a cross-section width of 100m.
