In recent days, in many wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City, the Police force, militia and departments and mass organizations have launched campaigns to remove illegal advertisements on roads, residential areas and public areas.
In Tan Binh ward, departments, branches, and mass organizations, along with the Police, Military forces and a large number of people, have deployed general cleaning and scraping off illegal billboards on key roads.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Trung - Deputy Head of Tan Binh Ward Police - thoroughly grasped the key contents of the campaign, and at the same time directed the strict handling of violators. According to Lieutenant Colonel Trung, this campaign is not simply an activity to clean up the streets but also aims for a long-term goal of building awareness of law compliance, gradually removing "dirty advertising" - which is identified as the "extended arm" of black credit activities and law violations over the past time.
The highlight of the plan is to mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system and each citizen, creating unity in awareness and promoting the role and responsibility of cadres, soldiers, and union members.

The ward government clearly defines the goal of removing and erasing all illegal advertisements throughout the area and building model points to thoroughly prevent the situation from recurring. To ensure sustainable effectiveness, Tan Binh Ward Police will advise and organize to mobilize 100% of printing and photocopying service business establishments to sign commitments not to produce leaflets and business cards related to "black credit" activities.
At the same time, the government is oriented to take advantage of the spread of social networks, mobilizing the participation of reputable individuals and artists to raise awareness among young people.

Witnessing the garbage advertisements being cleaned up, local people clearly expressed their excitement. Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia (resident of Tan Binh ward) shared that seeing soldiers and union members actively removing leaflets stacked on electric poles or walls in front of his house made him very happy, because the advertisements for borrowing money or pumping septic tanks have made the neighborhood very messy. He affirmed that he and his neighbors will be more aware of reminding or reporting to the residential group if they see anyone intending to paste them.

Similarly, Mr. Tran Minh Hoang - a business store owner - also expressed strong support for this campaign, believing that this is a practical step to make the living environment safer and more civilized.
Not only in the inner city, the campaign also spread strongly to suburban communes. In Phuoc Hai commune, hundreds of officials, soldiers and people participated in cleaning up the environment and removing illegal advertising.

Local authorities call on people to join hands to maintain periodic sanitation activities to build Phuoc Hai commune "green - clean - beautiful - civilized". The combination of ensuring security and order and protecting the environment is expected to create a solid foundation for sustainable tourism development and raising community awareness in the locality.
