At about 0:20 on May 3, a serious traffic accident occurred at the intersection between Vo Nguyen Giap street and D30 street (section passing through Tay Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province), killing a young man on the spot.
According to initial information, Mr. Ngo Trung Hieu (born in 1991, residing in Nha Trang ward) was driving a car with license plate 79A-620. XX on Vo Nguyen Giap street in the direction from the Duong Sat overpass to National Highway 1.
When arriving at the intersection with D30 street, driver Hieu turned right when he collided with a young man (identity unknown) driving a motorbike with license plate 79X1-075. XX, traveling in the same direction on the right side of the car.
The strong collision caused the motorbike driver to be thrown onto the road and die on the spot. The two vehicles were heavily damaged.
Through initial investigation, functional forces determined that the car driver had changed direction incorrectly, leading to the accident.
Currently, Tay Nha Trang Ward Police are continuing to investigate, clarify the victim's identity and complete the file for handling according to legal regulations.
