Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document requesting rectification of law compliance when participating in traffic by cadres, civil servants, public employees, party members and cadres and soldiers in the armed forces.
According to Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, in the first 6 months of the year, the traffic order and safety situation in the area was basically stable, and traffic accidents were reduced in all 3 criteria compared to the same period in 2025. Specifically, the whole province recorded 243 traffic accidents, down 18.18%; there were 202 deaths, down 7.76% and 72 injuries, down 44.19%.
However, the traffic accident situation is still complicated. In the first 6 months of 2026, functional forces of Tay Ninh province discovered and recorded 45,853 cases of traffic order and safety violations, an increase of 157% compared to the same period in 2025. Notably, alcohol concentration violations accounted for a large proportion with 6,018 cases, an increase of 87% compared to 3,217 cases in the same period.

The whole province recorded 243 cases, down 18.18% compared to the same period; the number of deaths is 202 people, down 7.76%; the number of injuries is 72 people, down 44.19%. However, the number of fatal traffic accidents still accounts for 79.4%, while alcohol concentration violations continue to be a noteworthy issue.
Functional forces have discovered 16 cases of people violating alcohol concentration who are civil servants, public employees, and party members. The police have verified and sent notices to agencies and units managing these 16 cases. However, so far only 3/16 cases have responded; of which 2 cases did not apply disciplinary measures but were included in the evaluation and classification of party member quality at the end of the year, and 1 case of violators no longer working at the unit.
Faced with this situation, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has requested that the handling of violating officials, civil servants, public employees, and party members must be strictly implemented according to Directive 35/CT-TTg dated September 17, 2024 of the Prime Minister.When receiving a notice from the Police about cases of alcohol concentration violations or failure to comply with inspection requirements, management agencies must urgently review, consider responsibilities and handle them according to regulations, and at the same time notify the results to the Police agency.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested to include the criteria for complying with traffic laws in the annual evaluation and classification of party members, civil servants, and public employees; and at the same time determine the responsibility of the head if officials and party members violate but do not organize self-criticism and handling or do not respond to the results according to regulations.
With the Police force, the requirement is "no forbidden zones, no exceptions", not accepting intervention or influence to ignore violations. In case the violator is identified as an official, civil servant, or public employee, the Police agency must notify the managing unit for consideration and handling according to regulations.
Along with handling violations, the province requests to strengthen propaganda about the harmful effects of alcohol and beer, the consequences of driving vehicles after using alcohol and beer, and sanctions; and at the same time mobilize people to actively denounce the act of driving vehicles after using alcohol and beer for traffic police forces to inspect and handle.
These requirements show that alcohol concentration control is not only limited to punishing violators on the road, but is also associated with the responsibility of management agencies, heads and the requirement to set an example of officials and party members in complying with traffic laws.
