On June 22, Da Nang City People's Committee just issued an official dispatch to deploy procedures to relocate Da Nang Tobacco Factory to hand over the site for the construction of facility 2 of Hoa Vang High School.
Based on considering the official dispatch of Cam Le Ward People's Committee on the recommendations of Da Nang Tobacco Co., Ltd., the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned Cam Le Ward People's Committee to continue to monitor and closely coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, the City Land Development Center, Da Nang Tobacco Co., Ltd. and related units to urge the factory relocation process. In case of arising problems beyond authority or units delaying implementation, Cam Le Ward People's Committee is responsible for summarizing and advising on handling plans to submit to the City People's Committee before July 15.
Previously, local voters reflected their desire to soon deploy the construction of facility 2 of Hoa Vang High School on the land currently managed by Da Nang Tobacco Co., Ltd. The People's Committee of Cam Le ward has coordinated with relevant parties to find solutions and prepare a clean land fund to serve education development.
The Department of Industry and Trade has issued an official dispatch to the Da Nang Trade Promotion and Trade Promotion Center requesting direct work with businesses. The working content focuses on reviewing the actual land lease demand at Cam Le Industrial Cluster, agreeing on a roadmap, specific relocation time and implementing the signing of land sublease contracts in accordance with legal regulations. The Center also guides businesses to complete investment procedures for new projects at planned locations such as construction permits, land, environment and fire prevention and fighting.
Da Nang Tobacco Co., Ltd. has proposed to functional agencies to consider a number of support policies when relocating to a new location, including exemption and reduction of land rent, support for relocation costs of machinery and equipment and creating conditions to access preferential loan sources. Cam Le Ward People's Committee said that after the City People's Committee agrees on the plan to relocate the factory to a new location, the local government will coordinate with relevant departments and branches to consider and resolve these business recommendations in accordance with current administrative regulations.
