According to the report of the Kien An Project Management Board, there is currently a project in Kien An ward to renovate the drainage system from the residential area to the Canh Hau culvert that has been submitted to the Department of Finance for appraisal and final approval.
4 completed projects include: Thien Van mountain landslide prevention project, Kien An district, phase 1; project to install a decorative lighting system on Truong Chinh street; investment project to build a one-stop-shop area of the District People's Committee; project to renovate and upgrade sidewalks on Tran Thanh Ngo street.
5 projects have been completed and are completing the installation of equipment to complete the project and put it into use, including: investment project to build Bac Son Kindergarten ( facility 2); Completion of Bac Son Kindergarten ( facility 2); project to build a 4-storey classroom building at Dong Hoa Primary School; project to build a 2-storey classroom building, functional on the foundation of 4 floors of Bac Son Secondary School and auxiliary items; project to complete the construction of Quang Trung Primary School (phase 2).
3 projects are under construction, completed in 2025 according to the approved schedule and project settlement, namely the Nam Son Ward Flower Garden Project, Kien An District; Hanh Phuc Lake Flower Garden Project; Investment project to build technical infrastructure for resettlement areas in Phuong Khe residential group. However, the construction of the Dong Hoa ward green park has approved the final settlement and has not yet been handed over to the Department of Construction due to some items damaged by the impact of typhoon YAGI in 2024. Currently, the investor is coordinating with relevant parties to repair it before handing it over to the Department of Construction.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, requested the Kien An Project Management Board to complete the project and hand over the Dong Hoa Park and Nam Son Park projects to the management unit in October 2025; urge the contractor to complete the Hanh Phuc Lake Park project and hand it over to the Ward People's Committee before November 20, 2025.
The Management Board worked with Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company to request the Company to sell water to households in the Phuong Khe resettlement project. At the same time, the one-stop-shop area will be handed over to the Ward People's Committee and the Public Administration Service Center for management in October 2025. The unit completing the Tran Thanh Ngo sidewalk project will hand over to the Department of Construction for management before October 20, 2025.
For the projects of schools: Dong Hoa Primary School, Quang Trung Primary School, Bac Son Kindergarten, Bac Son Secondary School, the Kien An Project Management Board must complete the dossier and report to the Department of Finance for approval of acceptance before November 15, 2025 and carry out the project settlement.
The Ward Economic - Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department coordinated with the Kien An Project Management Board to urge contractors to focus on speeding up the progress of projects, completing the project items to be handed over to ensure time, technical and aesthetic standards.
Recently, the Ward Party Committee also gave opinions on the plan to build resettlement areas to serve the project to build a road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10.
The project to build a road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10 has a total investment of VND 5,307.415 billion from the city budget, implemented from 2025-2029. The project passes through a number of communes and wards in the city, including Kien An ward.
The project investment goal is to create a new route connecting the central area with the southern districts of the city as well as connecting National Highway 5 and National Highway 10 to help transport goods and passengers, ensure traffic safety, and contribute to reducing traffic accidents.
The total area reclaimed in Kien An ward to implement the project is expected to be 17.6 hectares, of which 2.4 hectares are residential land. The ward is developing a plan for resettlement areas in the area to ensure favorable compensation and site clearance, serving the project to build a road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10.
