Recently, the Joint Venture of Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Corporation (Handico) and Viglacera Corporation started the Thang Long Green City social housing project at plot CT3, Kim Chung urban area, Dong Anh district. The Thang Long Green City social housing project has a total construction land area of nearly 3.7 hectares with 4 12-storey buildings.
The project provides more than 1,100 apartments, expected to hand over houses to residents in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a selling price of VND 18.4 million/m2 (including 5% VAT and 2% apartment maintenance fee). The investor's representative said that with the above selling price, a 49.8m2 apartment in the project costs about 916.3 million VND, while the largest apartment of 64m2 costs about 1.2 billion VND.
From December 2024 to present, Thang Long Green City is the 3rd social housing project that Hanoi has started construction.


Previously, on December 5, 2024, the consortium of Urban Infrastructure Development Investment Corporation (UDIC), Hanoi Electricity and Water Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company, and DAC Hanoi Housing Development and Trading Joint Stock Company started the social housing project in Ha Dinh urban area (Tan Trieu commune, Thanh Tri district).
The land has an area of 9,305m2 in Ha Dinh urban area. This is an area with a high urbanization rate, part of the city's development plan to the South.
According to the 1/500 plan, the social housing project is 25 stories high, including 5 basements, 20 apartments and 1 basement, with a construction area of 3,722m2, a total floor area of 62,550m2, a total of 440 apartments, and a population of 1,230 people.
The project is expected to be constructed within 30 months.

On December 17, Corporation 319, Ministry of National Defense held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Social Housing Project in Uy No commune, Dong Anh district.
The social housing project in Uy No commune is built on a land area of 15,286m2, with 4 blocks of 9-storey houses and 1 basement. The project has a total of 466 apartments (from 40m2 to 76.7m2), expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
In the 2021-2024 period, Hanoi has completed 13 social housing projects (10 projects have been fully completed and 3 projects have been partially completed), with 11,334 apartments. From now until 2030, Hanoi must complete 44,866 more units, and in 2025 alone, 4,670 units will be completed.
According to the report of the Hanoi People's Committee, it is expected that in 2025, 9 more projects with 4,866 apartments will be completed, striving to achieve the target assigned by the Prime Minister.
