HCMC - As of September 30, tax authorities have resolved 14,300 out of a total of 15,800 land records pending from August 1 to September 21.

The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department also said that currently, the number of pending files that are still being processed is 3,950 files, of which the number of pending files as of September 21 is 1,500 files, the rest are newly generated. Thus, since the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a document directing to remove obstacles, the tax authorities in the city have resolved 14,300 files out of a total of 15,800 pending land files from August 1 to September 21, reaching 90.5%.

Recently, the number of real estate files pouring into the land registration office branches in Ho Chi Minh City has increased. Especially when the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed that it will issue an adjusted land price list before October 15, 2024.

The number of real estate records is concentrated in Thu Duc City, District 12, 7, Hoc Mon District, Nha Be... In Thu Duc City, the number of new land records in the past week has tended to increase gradually. For example, on September 23, the number of new records was about 300 records, but over the past weekend it has increased to over 500 records per day.

Last Saturday (September 28), the Director of the Thu Duc City Land Registration Office Branch requested staff to increase their work to promptly resolve the backlog of people and units from August 1, 2024 to September 21, 2024, focusing on quickly and promptly resolving backlogs due to failure to fulfill financial obligations.

According to statistics from the Thu Duc City Land Registration Office Branch, since the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued an official dispatch to remove obstacles (September 23), each day this branch has processed nearly 1,500 real estate records related to tax liability calculation. On September 26, the Thu Duc Branch transferred nearly 500 records to the tax office; received records from the tax office and returned about 400 records to taxpayers; received 230 tax receipts from taxpayers and nearly 300 new records. The number of new records received last week increased by 70% compared to the previous week.

Thu Duc City Tax Branch alone resolved 2,200 pending cases by the end of last week. Regarding the number of new real estate cases arising last week, the tax authority recorded no significant changes compared to before.

It is forecasted that in the next few weeks, the number of real estate applications will increase due to the information that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is preparing to issue a new land price list. It is expected that before October 10, 2024, the City's Land Price Appraisal Council will hold an appraisal meeting. Before October 15, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will issue a decision to amend and supplement Decision No. 02/2020/QD-UBND on the adjusted land price list. The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department said that it will also prepare to organize to resolve on schedule according to regulations.
