Coach Unai Emery's Aston Villa reconstruction is taking place strongly as many pillars in the Europa League-winning squad are preparing to leave Villa Park. Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans, Lucas Digne and Ezri Konsa have parted ways, while the future of Emiliano Martinez and Ollie Watkins is still unclear.
Losing a series of important players at the same time may worry many people, but Aston Villa does not see this as a sign of instability. After the successes under Emery, the club completely believes in the plan of the Spanish strategist. All transfer deals are made with his consent.
In fact, Villa has recognized the need to refresh the squad for a long time. The force that once helped them win their first title after 30 years has passed its peak and needs to be rejuvenated. Emery is therefore facing the task of building a younger, more dynamic squad and capable of competing with opponents with superior financial resources.
New contracts are partly showing that direction. Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes and young talent Brian Madjo represent the new generation that Emery wants to develop. In particular, the appearance of Madjo at the age of 17 brings more optimistic signals for the long-term plan of the Villa Park team.
Aston Villa is also actively restructuring their defense. Matteo Ruggeri was brought in from Atletico Madrid to replace Lucas Digne, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka joined on loan from West Ham. They are also negotiating with Southampton about Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
One of the most notable deals is Zion Suzuki. The Japanese goalkeeper joined Villa for a fee of about 30 million pounds and is considered to be Emiliano Martinez's replacement. Suzuki is 10 years younger than Martinez, and has built a reputation at Parma and the Japanese national team. He even prioritized Villa instead of Paris Saint-Germain, even though the French team had prepared a plan to take him for a medical examination.

Martinez's future at Villa Park is becoming increasingly uncertain. The Argentine goalkeeper will turn 34 next month and has faced instability in his position since last summer.
Ollie Watkins is also a case to consider. Although he is 30 years old, the English striker is still an important factor in Emery's system. Villa has rejected three offers from Al-Hilal, but the Saudi Arabian team has not given up their intention to recruit him. If Watkins leaves, Villa will have to look for a quality replacement.
Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea is one of the names being contacted, but this deal still has many questions, including the possibility of completion and issues related to player registration regulations.
In addition, Aston Villa also places high hopes on Alejandro Garnacho's ability to revive. The former Manchester United player joined Villa after periods of not being really successful. If Emery helps Garnacho regain his best form, this could become one of the notable deals of the team.
The biggest change lies in Villa's willingness to part ways with players who once played an important role to open a new cycle. It was not an easy decision, but Emery created enough confidence to receive support from the club and fans.
From now until the transfer window closes, Emery's squad can still continue to fluctuate, especially in the goalkeeper and striker positions. However, Villa's goal is quite clear: accepting changes to build a new team, instead of trying to hold onto the squad that led them to success in the past.
