Barcelona is in the process of rebuilding and developing Camp Nou. Since May 2023, Blaugrana has temporarily chosen Olimpic Lluis Companys as its home field during the renovation of Camp Nou.
Barcelona currently plans to return to Camp Nou in the middle of the 2024-2025 season. This stadium will bring a completely different image compared to the iconic stadium that football fans know before. When completed, Camp Nou will have a capacity of up to 105,000 seats.
However, this project will not be fully completed until August 2026. Barcelona aims to move back to Camp Nou at the end of this year, when this stadium reaches more than 60% capacity.
The new stadium and campus will be equipped with the most advanced technological systems, allowing fans to enjoy a whole new level of experience. Around £1.3 billion has been invested in the stadium and surrounding area.
This will be the largest and most modern sports complex in the center of a European city. The state-of-the-art Camp Nou stadium - sponsored by Spotify - will feature a number of new bars and VIP areas.
The stadium will also have the largest roof of any stadium in Europe, with new images showing three large screens hanging above the field. The lobby and press facilities are also among the areas that will be modernized.
Barcelona kicked off the 2024-2025 La Liga campaign with a 2-1 win over Valencia last weekend.
