Casemiro is said to be about to reach an agreement to join David Beckham's Inter Miami on a free transfer after leaving Manchester United at the end of the season.
The Brazilian midfielder previously confirmed that this would be his last season at Old Trafford. After 4 years wearing the MU shirt since the £70 million transfer from Real Madrid, Casemiro said goodbye to Old Trafford in his last home game last weekend.
According to British media, Casemiro wants to move to MLS to play and Inter Miami is currently his priority destination. Negotiations between the two sides are said to be close to reaching an agreement.

However, the deal still has obstacles related to MLS special regulations. LA Galaxy currently has the priority to negotiate with Casemiro through the "discovery rights" mechanism - a regulation that allows MLS clubs to register prior access to a player to avoid direct competition within the league.
The Los Angeles team is said to have sent many contract offers to the 34-year-old midfielder. In the past, similar cases often caused clubs wanting to own players to pay compensation to buy back negotiated priority rights.
In addition, Inter Miami is also facing problems with the salary fund and the number of "Designated Player" slots - the group of players who enjoy salaries exceeding the MLS ceiling. Messi currently holds one of these three slots at David Beckham's team.
That means if they want to recruit Casemiro without changing the squad structure, Inter Miami will have to sign a contract worth less than 2 million USD per season, unless a player from the "Designated Player" group leaves the club.
Although no longer maintaining peak form like the successful period with Real Madrid, Casemiro is still considered an experienced contract with great appeal to MLS. Inter Miami believes that his appearance can help increase the depth of the squad as well as add steel to the midfield, alongside stars like Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Casemiro can still play once more for Man United in the away match against Brighton this weekend. However, the match against Nottingham Forest is considered the last time he plays at Old Trafford. After the match, the former Real Madrid midfielder posted a touching message on social media to send his gratitude to the club and fans.
There are places we go through in life, and there are also places that become part of us. Manchester will forever be my home. To this city, the club and all fans, I would like to send my most sincere thanks. The past 4 years have been an unforgettable time for me and my family.
Thank you for all the support, all the memories and for making us feel at home from the first day. Forever a Red Devil" - Casemiro shared.
