Man United will face Fulham in the latest match of round 23 of the Premier League in the early morning of January 26 (Vietnam time).
Despite having more possession, Man United only had one shot in the first half. In contrast, the dangerous chances mostly came from Fulham, in which Alex Iwobi was the most active player and had two shots that troubled goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The second half continued with a dull game. The Red Devils' most notable moves came from long-range shots by Bruno Fernandes and then Lisandro Martinez. In the 78th minute, when he was supporting the attack, the Argentine defender had a shot from about 28m away, the ball went in a difficult trajectory and defeated goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Coach Amorim continued to stick to his 3-4-3 formation but once again, the Reds lacked the ideas to create the necessary threats. Credit must be given to Fulham for their good organisation, which saw United only manage one shot on target in the entire game.
Fulham almost equalised when Andersen's header was cleared off the line. In stoppage time, Amad put the ball in the net but the referee ruled the goal out for offside.
The 1-0 aggregate win moved United up to 12th in the table, while Fulham remained 10th. Crystal Palace next travel to Old Trafford, while Fulham face Newcastle.
