On April 6, in Hanoi, Thieu nien Tien phong and Nhi dong Newspaper coordinated with the Vietnam Football Federation to hold a press conference to announce the National Children's Football Tournament (U11).
Speaking at the ceremony, writer and journalist Nguyen Phan Khue - Member of the Central Team Council, Editor-in-Chief of Thieu nien Tien phong and Nhi dong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said that the greatest joy of the organizers is witnessing generations of players grow up from this playground, contributing to glorifying national football.
He also emphasized that the tournament is not only aimed at expertise but also contributes to promoting the physical training movement for children nationwide.
Accompanying the tournament for many years, Nestlé Vietnam continues to be the main sponsor, demonstrating its persistent commitment to developing school sports.
In 2026, the qualifying round of the tournament is divided into 3 regions including Dak Lak, Hai Phong and Quang Ngai, taking place from the beginning of June to June 22. As of now, the tournament has recorded a record number of registrations with 53 teams from 27 provinces and cities across the country.
At the end of the qualifying round, the National U11 Children's Football Tournament has found 24 teams to participate in the final round, promising to bring exciting and emotional matches, continuing to write the journey of nurturing the dream of football for the young generation of Vietnamese football players.
The final round will take place from July 21 to August 6, 2026 in Dak Lak province.
