On the evening of December 21, the Vietnam team will host Myanmar at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) in the final match of Group B of the ASEAN Cup 2024.
To support coach Kim Sang-sik and his team, the Vietnam Football Federation recently announced that it will install a screen to broadcast the match live in Viet Tri at Hung Vuong Square (Viet Tri City) to serve fans watching and cheering for the Vietnamese team.
Most likely, the upcoming match will be the debut of naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son. Therefore, fans are waiting for the Nam Dinh striker to take the field and score for the team.
Currently, the situation in Group B is still undetermined. Although temporarily leading the group, the Vietnamese team is not safe. After 4 matches, the "Golden Star Warriors" have won 7 points from 3 matches played.
The next positions belong to Indonesia (4 points), Myanmar (4 points), Philippines (3 points) and the bottom of the table is Laos (2 points) but has completed all 4 matches. Apart from Laos, which has stopped playing, all 4 remaining teams have a chance to continue and are at risk of being eliminated.
However, the Vietnamese team still has the right to decide for itself. In fact, the possibility that the Vietnamese team can at least draw or win against Myanmar to get a ticket to the semi-finals as the top team in Group B is very high.
The match between Vietnam and Myanmar will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 21 at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho).
