Coach Kim Sang-sik did not return to Korea but stayed to celebrate the traditional Vietnamese New Year.

After the end of the 2024 ASEAN Cup, coach Kim Sang-sik returned to Korea to rest and spend some time with his family.On January 17, the 48-year-old coach returned to Vietnam early to continue working and prepare for the next tasks with the national team.

Recently, Mr. Kim Sang-sik and his colleagues have continuously attended matches in the V.League to monitor the performance of Vietnamese players.At the same time, the Korean strategist is looking for new faces to prepare personnel plans for the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers in March.

In addition to the Asian Cup qualifiers, coach Kim Sang-sik also "watched" young players of the U22 team.This is a necessary preparation step for the plan towards the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of the year.

According to the schedule, V.League will take a break for about 10 days for the teams to celebrate Lunar New Year 2025.However, coach Kim Sang-sik did not return to Korea but chose to stay in Vietnam to celebrate the new year.

Tet At Ty 2025 is the first Tet of the coach born in 1976 in the S-shaped land.Experiencing a new culture will be a memorable experience for coach Kim Sang-sik.

“My family and I have planned to travel to Nha Trang.I have celebrated Tet in Korea many times, so I want to experience the Tet culture in Vietnam with my family.In particular, I feel very happy to have such success and want to bring my family here,” Mr. Kim shared.

V.League will officially return from February 5 (the 8th day of Tet).At that time, Mr. Kim Sang-sik and his colleagues will continue to follow the matches and complete the personnel for the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
