At the beginning of the year of At Ty 2025, Quang Ngai fishermen eagerly opened the sea at the beginning of the year, showing their determination to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands, hoping for a bumper fishing season.

On February 1, fishermen from Thang Loi commune, Mo Duc district were present at Cua Lo area to organize the 2025 Fishing Festival.

The fishing festival is a traditional religious ritual of the coastal residents of Thang Loi commune, held in early spring. This is also a beautiful cultural feature of the locality, expressing the morality of drinking water and remembering its source, showing gratitude to previous generations who contributed to building the fishing industry. At the same time, through the festival, fishermen promote their sense of responsibility in exploitation associated with firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Fisherman Tran Ngoc Cong shared that through this festival, fishermen not only pray for a year of favorable weather, calm seas, a good catch of shrimp and fish on each offshore trip, a prosperous and happy life, but this is also an opportunity for fishermen to show their determination to unite, maintain the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, and protect marine resources for future generations.
