Vietnam U17 team won big against PVF U17 in a friendly match

The U17 Vietnam team won 3-0 against U17 PVF in a practice match to test personnel and playing style.

On the afternoon of March 5, the U17 Vietnam team had a practice match with U17 PVF at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.

In order to serve the profession, the match was divided into 3 rounds, each round of 30 minutes, creating favorable conditions for tactical experiments as well as arranging a lineup for 34 players to be called up.

As a result, the U17 Vietnam team won with a score of 3-0, with Duc Nhat scoring in the first half, Anh Kiet and Hong Phong in the third half. In this match, overseas Vietnamese rookie Thomas Mai Veereen also had the opportunity to show his ability for most of the first half.

After the match, coach Cristiano Roland said that the U17 Vietnam team had only had 2 days of full training, so there were still many things to improve compared to the goal set by the coaching staff. The team also has new players gathering for the first time, so the team cohesion is not good.

The practice matches like today are very important, helping U17 Vietnam create a competitive spirit, as well as helping the coaching staff have more perspective on the force and things that need improvement. The players need games like this to improve, said Roland.

The Brazilian coach affirmed that the opportunity is open for all players and the coaching staff will select those who best meet the requirements to participate in the 2025 U17 Asian Cup finals. Players who adapt and meet the best will be retained.

In the 2025 U17 Asian finals, the U17 Vietnam team is in a group with the participation of U17 Japan, U17 Australia and U17 UAE. The tournament will kick off in early April 2025 in Saudi Arabia.
