Recently, the Vietnam Football Federation has finalized the time and venue for the international friendly match during the FIFA Days in March 2026 between the Vietnamese national team and the Bangladesh national team.
According to the plan, the match will take place at 7:00 PM on March 26, 2026 at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi. This is an important professional activity in the short gathering time before the team enters the final round of the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers.
Hang Day Stadium was chosen as a competition venue thanks to the facilities meeting international organization requirements and convenient transportation. Information related to the organization, ticket issuance and sideline activities will be updated by VFF in the coming time.
In terms of expertise, the national team coaching staff determined that Bangladesh is a suitable opponent to check the squad and maintain the international competition rhythm. The South Asian team has made certain improvements recently and regularly participates in regional tournaments, being assessed at a moderate level of competition compared to the tactical testing requirements of the Vietnamese team.
Arranging a match before the match against Malaysia on March 31 is considered the final preparation step in terms of personnel and playing style.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will gather from March 21st, with about 5 days of training before entering the friendly match. During this period, the coaching staff will review the players' form, test tactical plans and complete the official squad.
Under the guidance of coach Kim Sang-sik, the preparation plan is built in the direction of ensuring stability and professional proactiveness.
