In the second training session of U23 Vietnam after the victory over U23 Saudi Arabia, the coaching staff continued to prioritize the factor of physical recovery for the players.
Notably, two strikers Nguyen Dinh Bac and Van Thuan did not participate in joint exercises with the whole team. Instead, this duo only did light exercise with relaxed running around the court under the direct supervision of doctors. This made many people worried.
However, according to records, Dinh Bac and Van Thuan's separate training is not due to serious injuries. Both are somewhat overloaded after a series of tense matches in the group stage, so they have adjusted their exercise volume to ensure the best physical condition before the quarter-final match.
Throughout the training session, the two strikers still maintained a comfortable spirit, constantly exchanging with members of the coaching staff, showing no signs of concern.
In the remaining half of the field, the remaining players of U23 Vietnam still maintained a normal training rhythm. The coaching staff focused on moderate-intensity exercises combined with perfecting tactical pieces, in order to maintain the feeling of the ball and connection in the playing style. The atmosphere on the training ground was quite positive, the players showed concentration but not tension.
Another encouraging sign comes from Thanh Nhan's case. This player had a problem with his hind thigh in the previous match, but was able to return to training with higher intensity.
Thanh Nhan completed all the exercises with his teammates in stable condition, ready to meet professional requirements if given a chance to compete by the coaching staff.
In general, U23 Vietnam is still ensuring its force after the group stage. The fact that no new injuries have occurred helps coach Kim Sang-sik have full personnel options for the quarter-final match against U23 UAE.
With a stable physical foundation and enthusiastic spirit after a series of wins, U23 Vietnam is heading towards the knockout round with the most proactive and thorough preparation.
