On the morning of August 22, in Nha Trang city, the Trade Union coordinated with the Board of Directors of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company to organize the opening of the 36th traditional cultural and sports festival in 2024.
At the opening ceremony, nearly 150 athletes from 9 units competed in the parade to demonstrate their strength. Teams will compete in 6 contents including: Tug of war, 5-a-side football, volleyball, table tennis, arts, and firefighting and rescue exercises.
The festival will take place for 4 days and close on the afternoon of August 24. Based on the results of the competition subjects, the organizing committee will award prizes to the entire team and prizes for each content to athletes with high achievements in the order of first, second, and third prizes.
This is a spiritual playground for officers and workers of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company, aiming to arouse the spirit of solidarity, promote the glorious tradition of railway workers in general, and the pride of the railway. Phu Khanh iron in particular.
Not only do we practice physical exercise together to improve health to serve the work of building and developing the unit, the festival is also a practical action to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the Railway Industry's Traditional Day (October 21, 1946- October 21, 2024) and 48 years of Traditional Day of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company (October 1, 1976 - October 1, 2024).
Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Culture and Sports Council of Vietnam Railway Corporation - praised the efforts of the collective staff and employees of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company that have created Cultural and sports playground combined with fire prevention and fighting drills, large-scale natural disaster response and maintained throughout 36 organizations.
According to him, Tuan, with the characteristics of the long-distance railway industry, especially the Phu Khanh railway team with nearly 750 workers in different areas, is very difficult to gather for the 4-day sports festival.
"Putting aside the fatigue of work, Phu Khanh railway workers come together to attend the festival with a spirit of solidarity and excitement. We hope that this spirit will be spread and brought to each group, each team, each supply, to each of our workers on the trains" - Mr. Tuan emphasized.
