Right from birth, little boy Ta Viet Vuong (born in 2011) could not hear or speak. To help her son have a bright future, Viet Vuong's mother did not mind the hardships and difficulties to prepare her son with the best provisions for his life.
Ta Viet Vuong is the eldest son of Ms. Tong Thi Nga (Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province). Ms. Nga said: "There are 5 levels of deafness, and my son is deaf at level 4. When he was born, Vuong did not show any unusual signs. He was very agile, chubby, and at only 15 days old, he could babble and listen to stories."
Until he was 7 months old, Ms. Nga saw his older siblings playing around and teasing him, but Vuong still slept very well, without any reaction.
The mother's intuition reminded Ms. Nga, when Vuong was 10 months old, she took him to the doctor but the doctor said that Vuong was probably just slow to speak and there was no problem.
When Vuong was 1 year old and still not hearing her son speak, Ms. Nga took her son to Hanoi for examination and was diagnosed with level 4 deafness. Ms. Nga felt like her heart was broken, but she did not let herself collapse for long. She tried to put aside the pain and accept the hardships to accompany her son.
In Nam Dinh, Ms. Nga is a garment worker, and her husband is a factory worker. The family's economy was already difficult, and now it is even more difficult. However, in order for their child to have a full childhood like his peers, Ms. Nga and her husband did not mind the hardships, working day and night, saving money to buy Vuong a hearing aid, hoping that it would be a means to help their child learn and explore the world.
When he was old enough to go to kindergarten, difficulties piled up as Vuong had difficulty integrating with normal friends. Ms. Nga took Vuong to Hanoi to study at Nhan Chinh school. At that time, the mother worked hard to take care of her child's education and was not afraid of jobs such as washing dishes for hire, selling scrap, babysitting...
Despite his many disadvantages, the boy Vuong always wanted to integrate with his peers. Liking crowded places and longing to grow up like other children, Vuong always wanted to meet many people and travel to many places to explore the world.
What Ms. Nga wants most is for her son to be able to study and conquer new milestones on the path of education. The touching story about maternal love between Ms. Tong Thi Nga and her son Ta Viet Vuong will be shared on the program "Love Station" at 10am on November 2 on VTV1.
