In the show "You want to date", Quyen Linh and Ngoc Lan continue their matchmaking journey, helping single people find happiness. The male lead in this episode is Bui Duc Toan (44 years old), currently working as a real estate broker in Quang Ngai.
According to the sharing, Duc Toan is living with his two sons (the older one is 12 years old, the younger one is 9 years old) after divorcing 7 years ago. The man shared that in 5 years of marriage, he and his wife could not find a common voice, different in thinking and personality.
After the divorce, he raised two children alone. Coming to the program, Duc Toan hopes to find a partner who can understand, share and respect each other, especially someone who cares about family and has a positive outlook on life.
Paired with Duc Toan is Hoang Thi Lien (43 years old), a primary school teacher from Binh Duong. The woman currently lives with her two children after divorcing in 2016. According to the sharing, Hoang Thi Lien got married in 2005, but after many years of living together, she decided to stop because her husband lacked ambition and was too dependent on his family. After the divorce, she focused on taking care of her children for nearly 10 years.
As her children grew older and wanted their mother to find someone to accompany her, Hoang Thi Lien decided to open her heart and join the program. She hoped that her future partner would be mature, caring, protective of her family, opinionated and cheerful. The teacher added that she personally does not like patriarchal people or people who smoke.
Opening the door to meet, Duc Toan felt that Hoang Thi Lien was a mature, smart person who knew how to take care of her family. He hoped that the two could get to know each other and if given the chance, would build a happy family together. The single father also shared that if the two came together, he would be the economic pillar, and they could support each other in housework.
Duc Toan expressed: "I am willing to share housework with my wife. For many years I have been doing it alone, so I can do everything to share housework. For anything beyond my thinking, I will ask for help from MC Quyen Linh."
As for Hoang Thi Lien, she believes that for two people to be together, there needs to be love, understanding and empathy. The female teacher confided that both of them have children, so the way they raise and care for their children may be different.
Finally, after MC Quyen Linh counted to 3, the two decided to press the date button amidst the audience's applause.
