Vietnam Railway Trade Union visits workers in Da Nang

Da Nang - The delegation of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union visited, presented gifts and supported working conditions for workers in the Da Nang area.

Within the framework of activities of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2026, on May 21, a working delegation led by Mr. Ha Trong Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, along with leaders of Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, visited, presented gifts and inspected working conditions of workers at branches and transport stations in Da Nang area. This is also an activity towards the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Railway industry, 145th anniversary of Vietnam Railways.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the project "Renovation and upgrade of 7 An28 carriages" took place at the Da Nang Carriage Branch. This is a project of important economic and technical significance, and also a symbol of the spirit of creativity and determination of the team of workers and employees of the Railway industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dao Anh Tuan - General Director of VTĐS Joint Stock Company affirmed: "The project not only contributes to improving transport capacity but also affirms the companion role of the Trade Union organization in the development of the industry and the country".

To promptly encourage departments and employees directly involved in the project, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union and the Company's leaders presented meaningful gifts to collectives and individuals with outstanding contributions.

In Workers' Month 2026, the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has allocated more than 1.3 billion VND to give more than 4,700 gift bags to employees throughout the Company. In Da Nang alone, dozens of gifts and hardship allowances have been handed directly to union members in particularly difficult circumstances, helping them stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work.

The working delegation also inspected and provided funding to support the repair of toilets and bathrooms serving daily life, directly improving working conditions for employees at the Da Nang Railway Car and Station Branch.

Mr. Ha Trong Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union emphasized: "Taking care of life, ensuring safety and improving working conditions for workers is a regular and continuous task. Workers' Month is a peak time for us to further concretize concern, adding motivation for brothers and sisters in the journey of striving for production and business".

Representatives of unit leaders in Da Nang expressed their deep gratitude for the timely attention of the Party Committee, Company leaders and Trade Unions at all levels. This is not only material support but also a great spiritual encouragement for the team of employees to successfully complete the growth target of over 10% in 2026.

In the coming time, the Trade Union of Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that it will continue to accompany and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of employees, and at the same time promote creative labor emulation movements, applying science and technology to improve productivity, ensure absolute safety, contributing to bringing the Vietnam Railways industry to sustainable development.
