The first Binh Thuan Province Trade Union Football Tournament will open on the afternoon of July 19. The tournament includes 18 teams divided into 6 groups competing in qualifying rounds, quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals with a total of 26 matches. Players for each team are selected by the district-level union and industry union in the province from workers, officials, and skilled soccer workers from affiliated grassroots unions.
Mr. Do Huu Quy - Chairman of Binh Thuan Province's Confederation of Labor said that the Binh Thuan Trade Union Football Tournament aims to stimulate sports festivals from the direct superior union at the grassroots level and towards the grassroots to create working spirit and improve quality. Sports quality ensures health, happiness, and better working spirit.
The list of players registered to play for teams as well as coaches has been publicly announced by the Binh Thuan Province Labor Federation. The organizing committee requires players (18 years old or older) participating in the tournament to pay social insurance at agencies, units, and businesses for at least 6 months prior to the opening of the tournament.
Facing teams with strong squads, many teams have arranged practice time to have good coordination and come up with competition strategies. As for the Tuy Phong District Trade Union football team, Mr. Le Ngoc Linh - Chairman of the Tuy Phong District Trade Union said that the team had 10 practice sessions before entering the tournament. In addition to practicing formation and tactics, there is also increased physical training in the hope of performing well.
As for the Duc Linh District Trade Union football team, it brings together players from Japfa Vietnam Company Limited - Binh Thuan Branch. This is also a strong team and they practice hard every day.
The first Binh Thuan Province Trade Union Football Tournament took place in 3 days at the football field in Phan Thiet City. The tournament created a vibrant atmosphere, excited to emulate achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.
