On March 8, Area Management Working Group No. 5 coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) to organize a thematic conference "Preserving a happy family - Core values of women in the new era", held in Tam Thang ward.
Attending the conference were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, along with Trade Unions of wards, communes, special zones and more than 300 female union members and workers in the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City.
At the conference, female union members and workers received commemorative gifts on March 8th; enjoyed art performances. At the same time, lawyer Nguyen Phan Bao Khuyen (Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Legal Consulting Center) presented contents on measures to maintain family happiness for women in the current period; some contents on the Law on Marriage and Family; dialogue, discussion, and answering some questions from female union members and workers about issues in modern family life.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - sent warm congratulations on the 8th of March to all female union members and workers across the country and female union members and workers in Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
March 8th is not only an occasion for women to receive wishes and fresh flowers, but also an opportunity to reflect on their bravery and role in the family and society. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for the Trade Union to reassess and strengthen efforts in maintaining policies and ensuring the rights of female workers.
The Trade Union organization understands that when women are respected, protected and given opportunities for development, they will contribute many times more, both fulfilling the mission of mother and wife; and being skilled workers and talented managers," Ms. Thai Thu Xuong emphasized.
In the past time, from movements "good at state affairs, good at housework", creative labor, building happy families... launched by the Trade Union organization, thereby fostering and introducing to the Party outstanding female cadres. This is even more important as the whole country is moving towards the election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, where the intelligence and voice of women need to be heard more strongly than ever.

Therefore, each female trade union official should be an active propagandist, encouraging workers to understand the purpose and meaning of the election, firmly grasp the standards, delegates, and go to the polls fully, on time, and in accordance with regulations. Ms. Xuong also requested voters who are trade union members to pay attention to and support female candidates, because it will contribute to promoting gender equality, resolving practical policies for female workers; affirming the position and voice of women in the cause of building a socialist rule-of-law state.
The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also suggested a number of tasks for the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to continue to implement in the coming time. In which, focus on implementing according to the motto of focusing on grassroots levels, direct production workers, those in difficult circumstances... ; focusing on equipping women workers with skills to build happy families, civilized and scientific lifestyles... and other contents.
On March 8, Working Group No. 5 for area management, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, in coordination with Tu Du Hospital, organized health consultations, health check-ups, and free medicine distribution for 300 female union members and workers; and 100 people who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area. Participants also received a gift on March 8 and cash worth 150,000 VND.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union to organize the awarding of 600 ao dai to female union members and workers in the eastern area of the city on March 8th.
