Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh (1908 - 1932) was born into a poor Confucian family with a rich tradition of patriotism and studiousness in Diem Dien village, Ho Doi commune, Thuy Anh district (now Diem Dien town, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province). He was a staunch communist soldier, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh; one of the founders of the Indochinese Communist Party - one of the three predecessor organizations of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The delegation of Lao Dong Newspaper always remembers and is deeply grateful for the noble sacrifice of leader Nguyen Duc Canh - the first Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Trade Union. The blood of leader Nguyen Duc Canh and the heroic martyrs has dyed the glorious national flag redder, further nurturing the sacred spirit of the mountains and rivers. Following his example, generations of Lao Dong Newspaper are always proud of and promote the tradition that he has built. After more than 95 years of efforts to grow, Lao Dong Newspaper has now affirmed its position by always closely following diverse information and the vibrant daily life of people and workers across the country. In the sacred moment, under the majestic and sacred Memorial, the symbol of revolutionary heroism, the symbol of the will to die for the Fatherland, the delegation of Lao Dong Newspaper respectfully lit incense to express their respect and deep gratitude for the great contributions of leader Nguyen Duc Canh to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the cause of national liberation.
