On May 23, the grassroots Trade Union of New Mingda Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Chau Thanh commune) coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to organize the "Trade Union Meal" program for nearly 700 union members and workers working at the enterprise. Each meal is worth 50,000 VND, 3 times higher than workers' daily meals.
The meal atmosphere was joyful and cozy with many nutritious dishes. Many workers said this was a meaningful activity, showing the concern of businesses and trade union organizations for workers.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tang shared that the meal has more delicious dishes than usual, full meals, so workers are very excited after many hours of work. According to Mr. Tang, what workers want is not only special meals during Workers' Month but also hope that daily meals will be increased by a few thousand VND to ensure better nutrition.
Sharing the joy, Mr. Thach Ngoc Dung said that he clearly feels the concern of the trade union and businesses for workers. Mr. Dung hopes that in the coming time the company will continue to maintain more "Trade Union Meals", because this is not only a delicious meal but also helps workers become more attached to their workplace.
Ms. Dao Yen Huynh - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of New Mingda Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that "Trade Union Meal" is an activity to practically care for the lives of union members and workers. Through the program, workers have the opportunity to meet, share and create a solidarity atmosphere in the enterprise.
According to Ms. Huynh, currently the grassroots trade union has 711 union members participating in activities. In addition to organizing "Trade Union Meals", the unit also maintains many care activities such as visiting union members in difficult circumstances, supporting sick people, giving gifts for holidays and Tet, and organizing periodic dialogues to listen to workers' thoughts.
In 2025, the grassroots trade union presented 45 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances with a total value of 13.5 million VND; visited union members who are sick and have children for more than 31.2 million VND; presented 664 gifts on the occasion of International Labor Day May 1st worth nearly 80 million VND. The unit also rewarded typical union members and children of union members with good academic achievements with a total budget of tens of millions of VND.
During Workers' Month and Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, the grassroots Trade Union of New Mingda Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized many activities to care for workers with a total budget of more than 100 million VND," Ms. Huynh added.
