On September 11, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) held a meeting with grassroots union officials (CDCS) in 2025 with the participation of nearly 120 union officials in the area.

The conference was attended by Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation; Ms. Tran Tu Nhien - Vice President of the City Labor Federation and representatives of departments under the Can Tho City Labor Federation.

At the conference, Ms. Tran Tu Nhien quickly informed about the situation of Trade Union activities. Currently, the city has 898 grassroots unions with 139,426 union members and 162,806 workers. The City Labor Federation has established working delegations to visit and work with 12 affiliated trade unions, promptly encouraging and supporting union members and workers after the merger.
In addition, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund supported the construction of 6 new Union Shelters for union members in difficult circumstances with a total cost of 300 million VND; organized the awarding of 29 Union Shelters in 2025.

At the conference, grassroots union officials contributed many opinions on issues such as the establishment of emulation blocks, union fee collection levels, focal points for supporting grassroots unions after the merger, financial guidance and organizing trade union training.

In her speech, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai informed about the organization of the City Labor Federation and suggested that the professional departments strengthen guidance for grassroots unions on emulation and rewards, propaganda work, and women's work. The grassroots trade unions need to focus on propagating the Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 15th Can Tho City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and prepare well for the Trade Union Congresses at all levels.
