Expressing the responsibility of the Trade Union organization to people with meritorious services
The highlight in this year's gratitude activities is the working trip of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to Da Nang City. On July 15, a delegation led by Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan - as Head of the delegation - visited Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy families on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
The delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mothers including: Mother Phan Thi Cuu (Khanh Tho village, Chien Dan commune), Mother Nguyen Thi Lang (Truong My village, Chien Dan commune) and Mother Nguyen Thi Thanh (La Thap Dong village, Thu Bon commune).
At each family, leaders of the VGCL cordially inquired about the health and life of the Mothers, expressing deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and losses that the Mothers and their families have made for the Fatherland.
The President of the VGCL affirmed that the Party, State and Trade Union organization always remember the merits of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and people with meritorious services to the revolution; and at the same time hoped that the Mothers would continue to live happily and healthily, being a spiritual support and a bright example for their children and grandchildren to follow.
Not only visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, the delegation also presented gifts to 50 policy families in Chien Dan commune. Each gift includes in-kind gifts and 2 million VND in cash.
According to the Chairman of the VGCL, the material value of the gift is not large but contains the feelings and gratitude of the Trade Union organization and union members nationwide for those who have contributed to the revolutionary cause.
This is not only an activity of gratitude but also demonstrates the role and social responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for people with meritorious services, contributing to educating patriotism and the spirit of "When drinking water, remember the source" for today's generation.
Affection is spread from industry trade unions
Many industry trade unions also implement practical programs suitable to the actual conditions of each unit. At the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union, the movement to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers has been maintained for many years. Currently, units under the Vietnam National Chemical Group are supporting 7 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers with a support level of 500,000 VND to 2 million VND/month for each Mother. The activity not only helps Mothers have more conditions to take care of their health and improve their lives but also shows the persistent and long-standing gratitude of the Trade Union organization to people with meritorious services.
On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union also coordinated with Sao Vang Rubber Joint Stock Company - Hung Yen Branch - to organize a program to visit relatives of martyrs working at the enterprise; and at the same time donated funds to build two "Chemical Shelter" houses for union members in particularly difficult housing circumstances.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union - said that the "Gratitude" activity is always maintained regularly, becoming a traditional beauty of the industry. Through gratitude programs, the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" continues to spread among each official, union member and worker, contributing to fostering the spirit of responsibility to the community and the country.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union continues to maintain visits to war invalid nursing centers - a program that has been continuously implemented for many years.
On July 21, a working delegation led by Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - as Head of the delegation - visited Duy Tien War Invalids Nursing Center and Kim Bang War Invalids Nursing Center (Ninh Binh province).
In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union affirmed that each wounded soldier and sick soldier is a vivid symbol of patriotism, indomitable will and noble sacrifice for national independence and freedom.
On this occasion, leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union presented each war invalid nursing center with money and gifts worth 32 million VND.
Although the gifts are not large, they contain the respect and gratitude of tens of thousands of union members and workers of the Electricity industry for those who sacrificed a part of their blood and bones for the Fatherland.
