Promoting the establishment of grassroots trade unions
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: in July 2026, the activities of the City Trade Union and Commune and Ward Trade Unions will continue to be implemented with many practical contents.
The work of caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers has been concerned. Commune and ward Trade Unions have organized visits, encouraged, and presented gifts to 1,763 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of nearly 1.5 billion VND; presented gifts and scholarships to 74 children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total budget of over 45 million VND.
The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions continues to be promoted. In the month, commune and ward trade unions established 102 grassroots trade unions, developing 2,473 new union members.
Among them, 5 units developed union members and 16 units mobilized to establish grassroots trade unions, achieving and exceeding the targets assigned by the City Labor Federation in 2026.
Along with that, propaganda and education work is focused on by units. 100% of commune and ward trade unions organize for grassroots trade union officials to participate in studying and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026–2031.
At the same time, many practical activities were organized to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. Propaganda, dissemination of laws, and policy advice on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance were also strengthened, with more than 10 conferences for more than 1,000 union members and workers.
Proactively grasp the situation of union members
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, the activities of commune and ward trade unions in Da Nang in July 2026 are also facing many difficulties and obstacles related to union member development, establishment of grassroots trade unions; improving the quality of operations in the business sector; trade union financial work; information and reporting regimes; collective bargaining skills and grasping labor relations.
At the Trade Union meeting of communes and wards in August 2026, many units proposed to strengthen training and fostering skills for commune and ward trade union officials and grassroots trade unions, especially collective bargaining skills, finance - accounting, propaganda and mobilization to develop union members and handle situations arising in labor relations.
Regarding the key tasks for August, Mr. Le Van Dai requested the Commune and Ward Trade Unions to continue to closely follow the key tasks of the City Labor Federation.
Proactively grasp the situation of union members, workers and labor relations at the grassroots level; focus on performing well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
The comrade noted that units should continue to promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions, and strive to achieve the goal that by November 30, 2026, 100% of enterprises with 20 or more employees will establish trade union organizations.
At the same time, improve the quality of activities, professional development, and skills for trade union officials at all levels.
In the coming time, the Commune and Ward Trade Unions will continue to focus on practical care for union members and workers; deploy activities on the occasion of the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival.
Promote propaganda on major holidays of the country, city and trade union organizations; effectively organize the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" associated with the "3 savings" campaign.
At the same time, strengthen inspection, supervision, and urging the collection and payment of trade union funds in accordance with regulations; promote digital transformation and application of artificial intelligence in trade union activities.
