Many meaningful and outstanding activities
News from Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang city on March 23rd said: Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union organizes the 2nd (expanded) Executive Committee Conference in 2026, and at the same time deploys a series of practical activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Social Work Day (March 25, 2016 – March 25, 2026), towards union members, workers and fishermen in the area.
In the first quarter, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union effectively implemented many activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promoted emulation movements and social security activities, contributing to spreading the humanistic values of social work in the new situation.
Responding to the 10-year milestone of Vietnam Social Work Day (March 25), Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union organized many meaningful activities. Notably, the program of signing a twinning agreement between the grassroots Trade Union of My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board and Duy Vinh Fisheries Union in the period 2026–2030.
At the program, the grassroots Trade Union of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board presented financial support of 10,000,000 VND to contribute to caring for union members and fishermen in difficult circumstances.
Along with that, the Commune Trade Union coordinated with Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital to award 250 health check-up vouchers to union members and workers. In which, priority is given to awarding 150 health check-up vouchers to 100% of union members of Duy Vinh Fisheries Trade Union to access health care services - one of the key contents of community-oriented social work.
Launching the "Trade Union Pig" program
At the conference, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union launched the program "Trade Union Pig - Accompanying and Sharing" to 20 affiliated grassroots trade unions, aiming to create resources to support union members in difficult circumstances, and continue to spread the spirit of mutual affection - the core value of social work.
On this occasion, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union also awarded commendations from the Da Nang City Labor Federation to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Trade Union activities in 2025, recognizing their positive contributions in implementing activities to care for and support workers.
Immediately after the conference, the Executive Committee of the Commune Trade Union organized a delegation to visit and offer incense at the New Year's fishing prayer ceremony of Duy Vinh Fisheries Union fishermen. This is a meaningful traditional cultural activity of the local fishing community; and also participates in the New Year's gathering program of fishermen and the C10 trawling team.
At the program, the grassroots Trade Union of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board presented national flags to ship owners, encouraged fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea, contributing to affirming the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands - associated with the social responsibility of the Trade Union organization.
Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union directly met, exchanged, and grasped the living and production situation of fishermen; shared and encouraged union members to feel secure in working and developing the economy, demonstrating the companion role of the Trade Union organization in social work at the grassroots level.
It is known that currently Duy Vinh Fisheries Union has 14 ships operating regularly with about 140 fishermen participating in fishing at sea.
The series of activities of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union on this occasion has practically contributed to celebrating the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Social Work Day, and at the same time affirmed the role of the Trade Union organization in comprehensively caring for union members and workers, especially fishermen - the force directly sticking to the sea, contributing to protecting the sacred sea and island sovereignty of the Fatherland.
